Pain to walk

Hi all! I'm 33 weeks today and suffering with the most awful pain in my lower back/lady bits to the point I'm wincing every time I put my foot down and can barely walk. I see heavily pregnant ladies walking absolutely fine and just wondering whether anyone had experienced the same/had any marvellous recommendations to alleviate some pain? I've tried pain killers and a pregnancy massage. It's my first and just not sure if this is the 'norm' and conscious I have another 6 weeks left at work. Thank you!

I had this and it was sciatica, shooting pains from my lower back all the way from my bum and leg and pain/pressure down below. I went to a chiropractor and had an adjustment done on my back, pelvis and hips and that made a huge difference x

Thank you Laura, I actually went to the docs this week as similarly I thought it was Sciatica and got referred to a physio. The physio has said it's not as it stops in my buttock and doesn't go down my leg. Just the pain is awful (I know I still have labour to come 😂🙈) so not sure how to get about the next 7 weeks or longer when I'm struggling to walk x

Try a support belt, I was reluctant but it has helped a dream!

Thank you Hannah, I do have one but guilty for not wearing it. Ive never found it very comfy but I'll persist! Thanks for your message 😊

It sounds like pelvic girdle pain :( a belt is helping mine just hurts so much in bed when I can't wear it. Some people say physio helps or have gone onto crutches up until after the birth xx

Thanks Ashleigh, I swear breaking bones is less painful 😂 my ball is helping but can't be taking that to work with me! Appreciate your comment, definitely need to stick with the belt by the sounds of it x

Honestly it's so so horrible!! I started with it in January and felt like I was tearing in two whenever I stood up :( getting changed sat down and making sure I keep my knees together when I'm getting in and out of the car/turning in bed helps xx

Thanks Ashleigh, awful isn't it. Looks as though we're at the same stage of our pregnancy and due at the same time so perhaps it's common to experience this around now😫 not long to go now though, thank-you for commenting!x

@Bec bless you, definitely wear a support belt like other people have suggested. Just sounds like pregnancy is just taking its toll on you (perfectly normal for some people, definitely happened to me!) so definitely take it easy going forward and rest for the next few weeks so you are ready for labour x

@Bec yea I also struggle and too put the top strap on or sit in it for long but found it super helpful easing pain when walking. Gentle stretches like cat cow, wriggling your pelvis in figure of 8 and other yoga esque stretches can help loose and ease pain a little too just don’t over do anything or push yourself if it hurts xx
