How active are your babies?

I read that some mums to be experience strong, painful kicks usually in their ribs or a lot of movement in general while my baby seems to be quite chilled and gentle. Not sure if I should worry. I've been in triage a few times due to being concerned about the baby's movement but they said everything looks fine. I can feel her moving, some days more than others but she's definitely not going crazy there or not causing me much discomfort.

Mine kicks like crazy and can be quite sharp kicks in the ribs but every baby is different and aslong as they are ok that’s what matteres this is my second pregnancy and my first was so calm and not that strong of kicks. But this is now my second pregnancy and defo more powerful kicks

Everyone pregnancy is different but it’s totally normal especially if it’s your first baby. I hardly felt my first baby she was a lazy baby but my second baby due in may is nuts he’s been non stop sore kicks since 17 weeks and doesn’t seem to sleep

My boy likes to wriggle but there’s often days I’m going to my stepmum and being like “want to annoy your grandson I ain’t felt him move today” and she’ll get him to move. I don’t feel strong kicks just his wriggles tbh

Honestly mine (first time here) sounds just like yours. I get worried sometimes but then end up hearing everything is fine at midwife appointments. I did go to triage in my third trimester and everything ended up being fine. It genuinely gets confusing sometimes. Hard to tell if there is less movements or just the baby in their usual gentle pattern.

Every baby is different. Maybe it means yours is nice and chill. My first was quite gentle with me. My second used to beat me up from the inside out. This totally matches their personalities now they’re earth side. Every baby is different, try not to worry 🤷🏻‍♀️

As long as the movements are the same for your baby, you don’t need to compare to anyone else’s. If you notice movements change and reduce then contact triage and get monitored :) xxx

Mine are similar to yours incog. He's pretty calm. He often settles into a position and just seems pretty happy there. I get more wriggles than full on kicks, which is quite nice but I never know when too little is too little movement. Sometimes he has an active day and then sometimes I realise he's more active through the night.

I’m the same, I’m 34+2 weeks and some days she’s soo quiet. Been to triage 3 times and always been ok, just worry’s you but I’m guessing some babies are just quieter then others x

Every baby is different. Mine feels super active, kicking all the time and sometimes it is quite painful but there are friends who have experienced different things during pregnancy. From smooth, slow and rare mouvements to very active babies and they were all just fine. If you are concerned, call in to Maternity Assessment Unit, they will listen to baby and this will reassure you. And you should go or contact them as many times as you want. Don’t be shy, they won’t judge you if you call on them, even if you do it daily!
