Belly button with dry blood every morning

Hi! My baby’s belly button has had dry blood every morning since her cord felt off. No other symptoms and it doesn’t look infected. The pediatrician saw it the first day and said it was normal but it’s been like this for a few days now. Anyone else had had this experience?

Yes my baby’s has been the same

@Tiffany did you give your baby a bath? I haven’t yet because of this

@Sabrina Still doing sponge baths, haven’t submerged in water yet!

Yes

Same thing. My Pediatrician said just to keep it dry and clean it with rubbing alcohol. It went away in a few days. Seems like it healed without any issues

Same with my baby and the doc put silver nitrate in it and it stopped within 24 hours and it hasn’t since.

I was told no rubbing alcohol

My baby had the same thing. His pediatrician said he could get a bath but it couldn’t get wet. So I would wipe/dry it with a qtip after every bath. It has healed fine.

My daughter had this happen for a few days it was because the scab that was starting to form came off, could that possibly be what’s happening?

Yes my baby’s was like that I was concerned at first but Dr said it looked fine and days later was completely skin no more dried blood. Just wait it’d it out honestly

Yeah totally normal

My firsts was like this and left yellow stains on onsies and my dr said it was fine but I did a saltwater soak every other day for a week with a bath and it stopped after a week

I took a q tip and cleaned it a bit with water.
