Movements

I'm currently 29+1 and the last 24 hours my movements feel different. I have felt movement throughout the day as usual but they just feel different. They feel more distant and more movement than kicks. Anyone else has anything like it?

Could be that baby’s facing inward towards your spine so you can’t feel the kicks as hard your feeling the wiggle of the shoulders and the head/hips moving. if your worried give triage a ring to be seen x

I'm 29 weeks also, and I feel like this. It's like a constant rumbling more than big movements. When I saw my midwife last week, she said baby was head down. So I think it's maybe that I can feel more hands and body than feet now. I'm sure the kicks will come back in the next few weeks when she gets up to my ribs though!

@Lisa ah ok that's interesting as at my 28wk scan I was told baby was breech position and when I went to bed last night, I felt very different kind of movement and a lot of it in one go, I said to my other half I wonder if baby has now turned around and is head down, which would make sense. Is there anyway of knowing the position without a scan? X

@Charlotte midwife can feel baby’s position at your next appointment they can usually tell the difference between baby’s head and bum through your bump

@Charlotte I didn't have a clue she was head down, and I have no idea how the midwife knew! It sometimes feels hard around my belly button, so I'm presuming that's her bum. I very rarely feel movement above my belly button at the moment.

@Megan ok thank you! I'm not seeing her for just over a week but will ask when I go thanks x

Im 29+1 also, second baby, and my movements have changed last day - still happening but down lower and feel more internal rather than up high. Think shes changed position. Feels sometimes likr a hamster running in a hamster wheel 😂 not a fan, want her to move back to her other position 😅😅😅

I feel kicks near my pubic bone and then I’ll feel him flip over and I’ll then feel above my belly button x

I have this same worry all the time. I’m 29+3. Some days baby girl is super active - kicks strong enough to shake me in bed 😂 other days I feel a light flutter here and there & get so down and worried. Then just as I’m ready to call the hospital she’ll get all active again. Just keeping me on my toes 🥹 I have watched my belly move & not been able to feel anything though so I think sometimes she’s moving I’m just not feeling her. 😌
