Big baby?

Anyone else’s baby measured on the 97th centile? How did you give birth? Was there any complications?

My son was measuring 97 percentile and I was planning to be induced at 39 weeks. He ended up surprising us a week earlier. I didn’t have any complications due to his size but he was in distress so I had an episiotomy which they numbed me for so it wasn’t bad

We were for most of my pregnancy. I ended up having a forceps birth but only because she turned her head at the last second, otherwise it would have been totally natural. There were no talks of induction at all and my eaters broke naturally. She ended up weighing 7 pounds 9, so not the biggest baby!

We was measuring on the 99th centile and predicted to be 11lb at birth. She came out 7lb1 and on the 46th centile lol

Mine was on the 96th centile and went for an elective c section that was perfect. My midwife said that his head was so down in my pelvis she was confident that natural birth would have led to an emergency c section for us

They predicted big with my boy (I don’t remember what percentile) but he was 9lbs 9oz at birth

I was about the 97th centile also for most of my pregnancy. Ended up being induced a week early (size wasn't the main concern for the induction though). Ended up getting to 8cm and baby wasn't coping ( he was also back to back) so was sent for a c section. He was 8lb 5oz ☺️

Ahh so many mixed responses! Guess I’ll have to just wait and see what the day brings 😭 fingers crossed 🤞🏼

Try not to worry too much about the size, sometimes the measurements are really out! 🤍
