Sudden increase in movement

I’m 38+2 and the last 10-15 mins baby has been going crazy, should I be worried he’s in distress??

I’d call triage or start making my way there, wouldn’t risk it.

Definitely go in to be checked. It could be nothing but always better to be safe than sorry x

Thanks both. I just rang and the midwife didn’t sound concerned as it was only for a short period of time, but said to keep an eye. Why’s pregnancy so stressful !

@Issy im glad they weren’t concerned but defo do keep an eye! Unfortunately girl I can confirm the worry doesn’t stop once they’re here either!😂

@Kas oh gosh, I can’t wait !🤣 x

I had this happen with my son and when I phoned midwifes not gonna lie she sounded like she was going to laugh at me as she wasn't concerned at all about him moving more

@Sophie I did feel silly ringing and actually apologised to the midwife haha, but she reassured me that I did the right thing ringing and to always call if I’m ever worried x

Did you happen to have any caffeine, chocolate or something sweet? That can increase movement

@Jenn he did start when I sat down for some choc frozen yoghurt lol so I did wonder if it was that

That could be it. I had to eat chocolate when I went for my scans so my baby would move more 😂 it took 3 times to get gender then I was told to eat chocolate and it worked.

@Jenn it would make sense, mines definitely going to come out a chocoholic 🤣

Any change should be checked x
