Increased baby movement

I swear everything worries me 🤦🏼‍♀️ so, I have an anterior placenta and started feeling baby quite early on, from around 14w, but very sporadic and light and it was slowly increasing. I’d feel movement mostly in the evenings. I turned 29w this weeks and all of a sudden I feel movement aaaalll day and night. Is this normal?

Yes- up until 28 weeks it’s okay not to feel a regular pattern! So the fact that you’re feeling baby more regularly now is a good thing and they probably were before you just couldn’t feel it as they were smaller! Increased movement can in rare cases be a sign of things like cord compression so if you’re worried then there’s no harm in getting checked. This kind of movement will feel like baby is trying ti break out and wont but be increased, they will be incredibly erratic and strong movement! Xx

My baby is very active but my midwife yesterday did say call triage for any increase in movements, especially if there's no periods of rest

I am also 29 weeks, I feel like baby's movement is increased too. However, I can also feel moments of rest.

It’s so strange you say this. I’ve had an anterior placenta twice now so not used to feeling the baby much. I’m 31 weeks and he’s moving so much!!! Now I know what people with normal placentas feel 🤣 my first I could go hours with just one kick up until I gave birth - was so worrying xx
