Laying on my back was the worse position for me. I like upright and forward positions. When baby came I was on my knees upright. I think it's about what feels best for you in that moment
Upright and forward :) had both my boys at home Gravity helps you a little more and it's supposed to be more natural for your body shape (my nct class used a spoon in a mug as an analogy)
I did my whole labour on all 4s. It was the only position I was comfortable in. I just knew I didn’t want to give birth on my back x
I did all the positions. My first i was on my back for the very last pushes because she came so fast and I only just made it to delivery but for hours before I walked, had a bath, was on all fours or with the back of the bed upright and I would kneel on the bed and rest my chest against the back, squatting. The midwife told me that these positions probably helped her come so quick. With my second we ended up with an emergency section but before that again I walked, squatted, rolled on a ball etc anything but lying down
