Help!

FTM & notoriously a hypochondriac. I’ve had diarrhoea and horrendous stomach cramps since Friday, I am able to keep water down but struggling to keep any food in. I can feel baby moving but just worried that I’m not eating and still feeling poorly. Is it dramatic to call triage or the doctors to ask for some advice? If it’s just the case of riding it out that’s absolutely fine but I just want to make sure everything’s okay but I’ve already been to triage twice and I’m only 34 weeks so don’t want to be seen as over reacting! Any advice would be amazing, TIA X

They always say to call to save worrying. I would definitely call gp, it sounds like a bug. Are you vomiting? Or just going through you? If you can feel baby and he/she is keeping to usual routine im sure it’s ok. Doctor will probably want to see you though to be sure. Never feel like you’re over reacting 🙂 x

As long as you’re managing to keep hydrated that’s the main thing. Although if it’s still going on since Friday might be worth calling just for peace of mind x

I had something similar, and triage wasnt helpful i had to contact my GP as baby was fine. Try to keep your fluids up and only eat small amounts (my triage werent fussed and I was ill for over a week lol) but worth calling if you find baby is quiet or just to see what they say z

It might be worth calling 111 and seeking their advice they may say it sounds like a bug and that it would be a gp job or they could tell you to call triage but I would say it sounds more like you’ll be sent to gp, as long as you can keep fluids in it’s not too worrying just maybe try eat foods with fiber in like plain toast and scrambled eggs (literally just egg nothing else in it)

Thanks so much girls! I did ring and as I was able to keep water down & baby was moving triage wasn’t too concerned, they did tell me to speak to my GP who also wasn’t concerned unless it went over 7 days. Feeling lots better today thank god but thank you all x
