Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much. – Luke 16:10

When we think about strengthening our marriages, we often imagine grand gestures—romantic getaways, deep conversations, or spiritual breakthroughs. But real love is built in the everyday moments. In a spiritually mismatched marriage, your husband may not respond to sermons or Bible verses, but he will notice your actions. The way you greet him when he walks in the door. The tone of your voice when you speak to him. The small, thoughtful things you do just to show you care. These little choices may seem insignificant, but they create the atmosphere of your home and marriage. A Gentle Touch Can Soften a Hardened Heart - Many women underestimate the power of physical connection, especially in difficult seasons. A gentle touch on his arm when he’s stressed. Holding his hand while watching TV. A simple hug before bed. Even if there is emotional or spiritual distance, physical affection speaks love without words. A Kind Word Can Shift the Atmosphere - Proverbs 16:24 says, “Gracious words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.” A simple “I appreciate you” can make him feel valued. A “Thank you for working so hard for our family” reminds him that you see his efforts. A “I’m proud of you” speaks life into his identity. Your husband may not always respond immediately, but words of kindness plant seeds that God can water. Serving in Love, Not Expectation - Jesus modeled love through service. Small acts of kindness—without expecting anything in return—reflect Christ in your marriage. Making his favorite meal just because. Leaving a short note in his wallet or on his mirror. Taking care of something on his to-do list. These are not about being a doormat but about choosing love as an act of worship to God. Praying for Him (Even When He Doesn’t Know It) - Even if your husband isn’t walking with God, you can still cover him in prayer. Pray while folding his laundry. Pray over his side of the bed before he sleeps. Bless him in your heart as he walks out the door. You may not see immediate results, but your prayers are powerful in the unseen realm. Love is not just in the big moments. It’s in the small, daily choices. Your husband may not always notice or appreciate everything you do, but God sees. And every small act of love is an opportunity to reflect Christ in your home. This week, choose one small act to show love to your husband—without expectation. Watch how God multiplies the little things. ❤️✨
