Baby Boy Was Born

It was a lot. Started contracting around 5am. Water broke at5:30pm with the miles circuit routine. Went to the hospital and hour later, was at 2cm. At around 10:30pm I was 5cm, 95% effaced, +1 station, no epidural. I had planned for a natural unmedicated birth. I ended up having the urge to push, which I shouldn’t have done because I wasn’t dilated enough but he was right there, making his exit known. So I got the epidural to try to calm down and numb everything so that I wouldn’t push. But his heart rate started to tank right afterwards. We changed positions so many time. Nothing worked. They took me in for an emergency c section. It went smooth. A 15 minute procedure. Not what was planned but he’s healthy and I’m alive to see my baby grow. We’re good. He’s 6lbs at 39 weeks and 2 days. Welcome to the Earthside, my love.
