She’s 2.5 months rn and has been Velcro since she was born. I think it’s bc she was early and I held her 24/7 in the hospital and when we got home she only slept on me not in the bassinet and when I transferred her into the bassinet for overnights she struggled and still does. Also during the day she WILL NOT sleep unless I’m holding her. Even on her dad she won’t sleep long. I wanted a Velcro baby tho so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
from birth until now and he's almost 5 months. I don't think it's a phase at all. It's who they are. Even though it can be very tough to get stuff done I'm grateful he is a Velcro baby 🥰
My son has always been a Velcro baby. He’s getting better the older he’s gotten. He’s now 16 months and I can put him down and put on Miss Rachel or something and move over the laundry and stuff like that. It does get better the older they get in my experience. It’s still just hard, but you just have to keep on reminding yourself that one day your child is no longer gonna wanna be held or cuddled for treasure it for as long as you can.
Mine has always been, used to be able to leave him 5 mins to get food etc but he's 17 months now and worse than ever constantly wanting attention or to be picked up. Hoping he'll figure out I'm not going to abandon him any time soon. But it makes getting anything done really difficult 🙈
My daughter suddenly became more clingy at 7 months too (she’s 8 months now). I think from 7 months they are more aware of you leaving the room. I’ve noticed she will cry the moment I walk out the room to get something, she’s started crying when family hold her and she’s got a lot more vocal when she doesn’t get her own way (I take a pack of wipes out of her hands or I take to long to give her more of her yoghurt 😂🙃). I’m hoping it’s just a phase too as I’m going back to work in June part time and she’s never been left with anyone. My boy was not like this but he was around family more and I was able to leave him with family here and there. He did seem to have a different personally to her though! She also is awful and napping and will just wake up! She started waking through the night from 5.5 months and was hoping that was a phase (was a great sleeper before) but it’s stuck 🙃x
8 months of velcro over here! Not a phase for sure.
Mine has been Velcro since birth and she is 3.
Mine has been since birth and and is now 2. Only difference now is that she can say "carry me up"
Velcro since I pushed her out and it's extremely hard
My Velcro baby is insanely sticky. Always has been, probably due to a traumatic birth and first 6 months of life. He’s almost 20 months now … still Velcro 😂 but slightly less so
My LO just turned 6 weeks and has become a velcro baby modt of the day. Wondered if he had a developmental milestone coming up or not. Either way I hope it eases for us both soon x
