I told our families as soon as we found out at 3.5 weeks.
I have a few health issues, all fertility impacting, so I actually told my parents the day I took a test because I was so gobsmacked. The first few weeks were awful in terms of trying to assess whether it was actually a viable pregnancy, molar pregnancy or ectopic so they were amazing to have on hand but everyone else was 12+ weeks but it was dependent on my friendship/relationship with them
I told very early, because if I lost a baby I'd want them to know and support
9 weeks for family 12 weeks announced on social media
Both times we told earlier around like 8 ish weeks. But like our thoughts were even if something bad happened they would still know. So instead of telling them we were pregnant we can tell them we are and celebrate that and then I’d have the support if something were to happen
