ftm at 30 weeks 2 days, today i just asked my doctor about the difference between braxton hicks and labor contractions and she said the main difference is usually with rest, hydration, maybe a warm shower they usually improve but with labor contractions nothing will really elevate it.
As I just went to triage to get checked today for the same thing happening for the past few days and intensifying…long story short, I was very dehydrated as I still get pretty sick every morning even at 31 weeks. Have not been drinking as much water and had a really busy week last week with preparing for our baby shower/surprise engagement so I was way more active and on my feet a lot more. Definitely a lot more physically exhausted and just worn out after the big weekend. Also, they said it looked like I was in early stages of maybe a UTI which they gave antibiotics for which could have also been contributing to the cramping/back pain I am feeling. And yes i definitely have sharp pains in my pelvic area but am not dilated at all thankfully. Just fun 3rd trimester stuff lol definitely would try as others stated like staying hydrated and resting as much as possible but if pain gets worse definitely call your doctor/nurse. Good luck!
I get Braxton hicks in my pelvic area, never anywhere else. In my last pregnancy they lasted a lot longer and were pretty uncomfortable. Sometimes resting, hydration, and added electrolytes helps.
