Congratulations 💙💙💙 Do you mind sharing your birth experience? Why was it traumatic? Hope your recovery goes well!
@Tanya Hi Tanya yes of course. At least it felt traumatic to me considering he’s my first baby. I had to get induced due to suspicion of cbolestasis. They started me up with cervidil for 12 hours and it did nothing! Although I was having contractions, it didn’t help ripen my cervix at all. After 12 hours they removed it and since it didn’t work for me they insert the foley balloon. What sucked about the foley balloon is that one is painful and two I couldn’t pee at all on my own because the balloons were blocking it or something so they had to come in and insert a catheter every time I had to pee. We weren’t seeing any progress with it either but again I had a lot contractions. Doctor did give me morphine before placing the balloon. Finally i dilated late at night and they started my pitocin. I was getting 0 breaks in between so that’s when I decided to get the epidural. Following day I was still in labor and when doctor came to check me I was 6/7 cm but he said baby was way too
high up and there was no way I’d be able to push him out. Doctor said I needed a c section. Once he left my water broke and I was bleeding (during this time they were prepping the OR). My baby’s heart was also super high and it was getting dangerous. At this point I was already 40 hours in labor.
Same. 1 w+1d here. So worth it.
