I feel like you can't go wrong with crafty items like sticker books, colouring books, crayons, paints etc at this age as even if they already have some they always run out. Easy to get on a budget too. 😃
If they have an outside area, my go-to is outside jumbo chalk. Tesco does a tub for £1.60 or branded ones from Amazon for about £4. Always a hit for summer and the rain washes it away!

Was there any theme on the party invitation? My daughter was invited to a nursery party and the invitation was cocomelon, so I just got a cocomelon sponge painting set I found in Morrisons. But otherwise anything generic as mentioned by others above would be great 😊

Home bargains or b&m do cheap toys.. you could get a few little craft bits.. colouring book, play dough, magic water paint book, paint sticks etc or garden toys like bubbles, water gun, rocket launcher, football etc. The Works also do cheap toys and books. I’m sure they won’t expect much. A token gift will be enough ☺️
