I have this too 😭
I currently have the same symptom, although I am far gone in my pregnancy, nothing really helped me. I droll even when I sleep and I hold a bottle everywhere I go. I hear it stops once the baby comes out so I am looking forward to that. I heard chewing on ginger helps. Maybe try that?
Had it in my second pregnancy from 6 weeks till I gave birth. It was annoyingly excessive. I was also vomiting a lot and so nauseous that the excessive saliva triggered me. I couldn’t stand spitting in a cup cos it smells, ended up buying cheap tissues and was always disposing loads. I also hated going out but the only thing that worked was chewing gum. The downside was I suffered from TMJ so the gum made it worse. Ginger didn’t help. Sending you hugs 🤗
Yup. Same here. I’ve been chewing gums more often and it seems to help a little
Also sorry to add but it also seems to happen to black people
@Dee I think it can happen to anyone hun I’m white 🤣
@Ana 😂😂😂 thats hilarious. One of the midwives said apparently it happens more with African Caribbeans but how are you coping x
@Ana 🤣🤣🤣
@Dee @Chioma unless dads African genes play a role here haha! Surviving on chewing gum 😭🤣
@Ana this is it! Chewing gum is the only thing that’s helping me. Other than that its my bottle
@Ana @Dee Exactly. Could only go out in public if I had chewing gum 🤣
Sugar free polos definitely help! I’ve got really strong jaw muscles so chewing gum was an absolute no for me but the polos definitely help! I’m 18 weeks, still throwing up and still have loads of saliva. If I go out without polos I instantly regret my decision 🤣
You are speaking to a fellow spitting mother pro I unfortunately have a bottle to spit into and the only thing that stops me is chewing gum. I only chew chewing gum when I’m out or around people. But when im home I have my bottle. I can’t even kiss my husband Had this with my daughter and unfortunately it only stops when I gave birth.
