Spotting for over a week

Hi everyone I just wanted to see if anyone has experienced something similar. I started having brown discharge about a week before my period was due and continued up until now. It has been 8 days of brown discharge and no period so I took a pregnancy test yesterday which has come up positive 1-2 weeks. I have contacted an early pregnancy unit and they have said they will give me a scan next week as it would be 5 weeks since my last period. I’m just really concerned that there is something wrong and freaking out that I have to wait a week to find out :(
