anybody on their second+ child went through this ?

I’m 11w4d and yesterday was my very first prenatal appt for my second child. the doctor said everything was fine but made me take my glucose test then even though with my last pregnancy I took it at 24 weeks. she also prescribed me aspirin for preeclampsia which again last pregnancy I was never introduced to aspirin for preeclampsia prevention until 17 weeks. I scheduled my appts out for a month since they had nothing available sooner, but today I get a call from my doctor stating i’m high risk bc my pregnancies are close (got pregnant 8 months pp) and bc my firstborn had severe iugr and was born at 5lbs so they think baby 2 will be small as well and they need me to come in sooner. I’m wondering if this is normal? or should I get another opinion elsewhere?

Yes! I had mine today and was also confused, but in the medical notes it says because it is so close to when we had first baby that it will put you at an increased risk and they’d like to avoid it early!

My first was also severe IUGR and I also had severe preeclampsia with him. I had him at 34 weeks 3 lb 15 oz. This pregnancy, I’m taking 2 baby aspirin a day. Also taking L Argenine (probs spelling wrong). Both help with preeclampsia. I looked up the study, and baby aspirin is safe starting at 10 weeks and it truly does reduce risk of preeclampsia. I am also high risk, but happy for it! If I wasn’t at my MFM office with my first pregnancy, I could have literally died (and baby too). They admitted me after I had high BP at a weekly appt.
