lump above incision?
hey everyone, I’m currently on antibiotics for my wound, triage saw me Friday eve, they don’t think it is infected or didn’t at the time but wanted to give me antibiotics just to 100% make sure, I’ve been showering and airing it every night, but I’ve looked tonight and it kind of looks worse? More red, a slight smell coming from it and I can notice a small ball/lump just above it, now worried again🤦🏼♀️ anyone have any ideas?
I want to preface by saying I’m not a medical professional but this is what I was told when i had an infection where my IV was. There was a hard red lump just like that. Maybe it needs to drain, try putting a clean warm compress on it for a few minutes at a time. Draw a line around the red area with pen and see if the redness spreads. Could be you need different antibiotics.
