I'll be honest. I've only ever sterilized bottles once after I get them from the store. After that I've never sterilized. Just wash with warm soapy water
Over in the uk our guidelines are to sterilise before first ever use and yes sterilise after each bottle has been given throughout the day etc. Again in the uk it's suggested as the formula particles can leave residue inside the bottle , which can make baby sick. It's adviced to sterilise untill 1yrs old when they should transition into cows milk etc. Mam bottles are great as you can self - Sterilise in the microwave so know need to run out and purchase a huge steriliser etc
I sterilise before every use. It’s not that much effort out of my day to clean with warm soapy water & then sterilise. I would rather be on the safer side. I personally definitely wouldn’t give a newborn an unsterilised bottle as germs can grow and their immune systems are so weak it’s not worth the risk.
When I did use bottles, I sterilized them after every use.
I wont understand ever why people cant just sterilise the bottles mine are washed in warm soapy water and sterilised before every use why would you want your baby to become sick?
I sterilise the bottles everyday, so after she’s used about 3 bottles I will wash them in soapy water and sterilise them I only use boiling water on the bottle to clean if we are out for the day and I need a clean bottle xx
I sterilized them in boiling water before the initial use but since then I wash mine either warm soapy water after each use and towel dry. They get thrown in the dishwasher about every 3 days.
