Does anyone have a Poppy?

This is going to sound a bit crazy (as you can tell I'm a massive over-thinker...) but does anyone have a Poppy and call all their children poppet? We already have a little boy and I call him poppet all day. E.g. well done poppet, come here poppet etc. We're due to have a little girl soon and we love the name Poppy but I'm worried it's gonna get very confusing if I'm calling everyone poppet 🤣 and I'm not sure I can get out of the habit!

My neighbours little girl is poppy and I adore the name!

I have taught a fair few Poppy's swimming over the years - I find they tend to get shortened to Pops not had one be a poppet before

My niece is a Poppy and she tends to get called Pops if anything other than Poppy

Friend’s daughter is Poppy and she got Pops or Poppy Pickles as a nn

How old is the little boy? You can stop using that name for him. I think poppy and poppet would be confusing and also might annoy the girl as she gets older, as it’s her name. Poppy is a really cute name - I would call her poppy and come up with a different cute pet name or term of endearment for your son.

My niece gets called Pops xx

I’m a Poppie and I never got called poppet my little nickname was popsicle, don’t like pops so was never pops! My gran however calls us all poppet at times. I’d say keep him as poppet and give her a little nickname also

I love the name poppy

I have a 3 month old Poppy and a 3 year old who I call poppet. It’s not confusing but I don’t call my daughter poppet all the time, just sometimes x
