Positioning

Anyone that’s around the 36 week mark still feel like their baby is moving around loads? Pretty sure they aren’t head down. I walk around all day, do stretches etc and they feel like they move and then I wake up in the morning and they are in a funny position again 😅

Does your midwife check for baby's position at your antenatal appointments? It's a bit of dark arts to me but midwives seem to be very good at palpating your belly and somehow figuring it out! Have they said anything about your baby being breech? In any case, have a look at Spinning Babies website - they have exercises that are supposed to help baby into position :) x

Hello, my baby was head down for 10 weeks then at 35/36 weeks moved around lots and going into transverse then breech positions. I got on the ball and lots of breech exercises and by 37 and a bit weeks they had gone back head down. Not sure why they like to worry us so late on but hopefully they’re just finding their way down! X

@Frankie this is what’s happened with me, they were head down at a scan I had at 33 weeks. Then by my 34 week appointment they’d moved to transverse and I have no idea what they are doing everyday 😅 I keep doing the exercises but my bump shape / their movements are all on different places 😂

@Paulina she does! At my 34 week appointment she couldn’t determine the precise position but put it down as transverse so I am guessing that’s what she thought it most likely was. I have an appointment tomorrow so fingers crossed they’ve decided to move again as I have been trying to stay active and do the spinning babies exercises too! Xx

have you been told what way baby faces. im around the same point in pregnancy and everything appointment my baby is head down but i wake up some mornings and my bump is wider, or wonky but hes always still head down

@Kenzie that’s reassuring, they couldn’t work it out at my last appointment but put transverse, if it’s the same tomorrow I believe I will be getting a scan to confirm!
