Hi, sorry to hear! I have not flown on Ryanair but with TAP to Portugal last year (23 weeks) and I had GD and when I asked for a FTF letter, first the midwife team said no, then they said that they can’t issue one if it’s before 24 weeks, then I called the diabetes team at the hospital (St Mary’s) and they gave me a basic letter saying my GD readings are fine and I am managing well. I also called the GP and said I needed a letter for my travel insurance and they booked me in for an appt to check blood pressure, readings etc etc and they gave me one. As you have GD are you in touch with the diabetic team, maybe try them? Or else go back to GP and said it’s needed as requirement for travel insurance and to help get needles and etc while abroad - like in case you run out or bag gets lost in transit. Worth researching a clinic/Dr details for where you’re going, and seeing if they need any specific from treating team. Keep asking and good luck! x

Sorry for the long msg, hope this helps!

@Oana thank you for the detailed message, don’t apologise!. I have spoke to the diabetic team they said they wont be able to sign me off as “fit-to fly” for policy reasons and i have also asked my gp to sign off the ryanair form but they also refused for insurance and policy reasons aswell and said they can just provide me with a letter of my due dates and weeks (basic one) with a charge. From what im seeing they both refusing to stamp the particular Ryanair letter. So upset as my flights are booked !

Oh gosh, super annoying!Alternatively, would the letter the GP give you be accepted by Ryanair? Maybe try it this way to see if they budge at all?

@Oana app they only accept their airline form. But i will give this a try and wish me luck ☹️

Good luck! 🤞

How many weeks are you? I think it goes by luck but if you show a lot they will ask for it and not let you board. But I think it's random when they ask or not. My friend got asked and they didn't let her fly. 😓

I consequently cancelled my flight cause I have GD too and they are not giving me a fit to fly (also I'm showing quite a lot )

@Ilaria oh no☹️how many weeks was she?. Im 33 weeks, im showing but with baggy clothes i dont

@Ilaria sorry about that! How many weeks are you?. Alot of olaces i read online people fit2fly were rejected and they just went to the airport and tried

Friend is 29 weeks and showing . I'm almost 31, my flight was for 33 weeks and I can't hide it and didn't want to try my luck 😅 but I'm generally an unlucky person so

I flew Wizz air at 31 weeks and they didn’t ask me for the letter. It was winter so I had lots of layers on. I was flying back to the uk so got one from a doctor in Romania. I’m not sure why you’re flying but do check what the airline says because most don’t allow you after 34 weeks anyway even if you had a note.
