Baby movements

Has anyone found in the last few weeks their movements have been completely different from what it was originally? I feel like it’s gone from kicks to more of them moving inside of me and now their kicks feel like tiny palpitations instead rather than just forceful kicks.

Yeaah I've been in the same boat as you. And I've literally called the triage and got myself checked to be on the safe side. And everything was fine. Would recommend just getting it checked if you feel unsure. Trust your instincts always!

I had this and got it checked to be on the safe side, everything was fine but best to get that reassurance x

Did the same feeling continue after you got checked? I’m experiencing this too.

So mine varied, I still feel like the movement pattern definitely changed to how it was previously but I was reassured it's just the baby getting bigger etc. and obviously advised if I still felt unsure just to call in and get monitored again etc. I did get an emergency scan done just to check on baby growth etc and it was all good and within normal range. That was definitely reassuring.

Yeah it's hard to remember that baby will be getting bigger and room is running out when they tell you to track patterns after 28 weeks. I agree that's its always best to just get checked or at least speak to your midwife to be on the safe side x

My midwife said concentrate on patterns rather than actual movement type. As they have less room the movements but again any worry she said call triage x

@Abbi babies don’t run out of room as they get bigger, movements will change to more “rolls” and shifting about much later in pregnancy, but they absolutely don’t run out of room and they should still be moving regularly. Any changes in pattern should always be discussed with a midwife as you’ve said. I’ve noticed a big different in movements this time with an anterior placenta in comparison to my daughter, sometimes there are big kicks, sometimes smaller flutters that I can only properly feel if I put my hand on my tummy… but have found they are moving more as the weeks go on x
