Massage while Pregnant

Can you have a full massage whilst pregnant? I’m currently 4 weeks and 5 days, I am away with friends Monday for spa treatments and it was booked before I got pregnant. My first ever night away from my nearly 3-year old!

Absolutely. I had pregnancy massages at 16, 28 and 36 weeks. It's actually really good for your body! Enjoy.

@Yana thank you so much ☺️

It’s not advised during the first 12 weeks due to risk of miscarriage. Most massage therapists will refuse you unless you are out of your 1st trimester. After 12 weeks you can most definitely have one and they are great!! But I wouldn’t recommend having one until 12 weeks have passed minimum, it’s not worth the risk, especially if your massage therapist doesn’t know you’re pregnant as there are pressure points to avoid whilst pregnant.

They won’t do massages (or shouldn’t do) in the first trimester. Once you’re in the second you can have pregnancy massages - which are fantastic!!

Think they say to avoid ankles and wrists but elsewhere should be fine!

You should contact the place and ask for a specific pregnancy massage. It’s different to a normal massage.

Thanks ladies. I have swapped it for a facial. Just need to come up with an excuse for not using the jacuzzi, steam room, and sauna. 🤔
