Girls names suggestions

We're having a little girl and we have no idea on what to call her. We don't have a list, there is literally nothing that's coming to mind 🤦🏻‍♀️. Please throw some names my way to discuss with my husband. We like names that are traditional, considered as "normal" and not out there but also not something to common, don't want a name where there are 3 of them in the class. Names like Amelia or Olivia, these are gorgeous names but they have become to popular in my opinion. Our son is called Zachary so something that goes nicely with that too 🤣🤣. I'm not fussy in the slightest 🫣🫣🫣

We currently have an Elsie, and on our girls list was Mabel, Lowen, Martha, Willow. But we’re having a boy and in the same boat as you 🙃😂

Heidi, Freya, Aria, Orla, Thea, Rhea, Avery, Margot, Renee, Scarlet, Sienna, Willow, Rose, Grace, Nora, Nellie, Evie, Elsie, Ellie, Quinn, Violet

We have Harriet, also goes by Hattie💖 I love the name Zach/zachary. Think it will be on our boys list x

We have a Rosie with middle name Ada & due another girl and have decided on Poppy. I love Mabel, Hallie & Willow but couldn’t sell my partner on them x

My mum keeps suggesting Elsie and I really like it but my husband doesn't. Same with Mabel, I really like that but he doesn't 🤦🏻‍♀️. We had agreed on Eliana but we're from Manchester and my 3 year old son has a very thick Manc accent so when he says it, it's Eliyaahnoh and I think it's just put us off 🤣. So now we're back to having nothing. Hub suggested Una the other day. Now I really like this, and it means a lot to my family. So I'm named after my Grandads mum, and Una (Oonah) was my nannas mum so to carry on the names would be so cute. And it goes well with our middle name choice which is Jessica after my sister. But when I mentioned this, he changed his mind 🤣🤦🏻‍♀️

@Ashley Orla was gonna be Zacs name if he was a girl. It doesn't feel right to use it for this baby for some reason 🤷🏼‍♀️

@Lucy I had Orla in my top 2 but I can’t unsee the word oral lol 😜 shows my maturity

@Abbi We call him Zac most of the time, he's Zachary at nursery or when he's in trouble with us 🤣 but if someone asks him his name, he does always tell them Zachary and not Zac 🤣. I love the name and I can't imagine him being called anything else now

@Amy I like Rosie as well, but husband said no 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

@Lucy haha yeah I can see why that would put you off 😂 why are men such hard work 😅 my husband didn’t like any of the boy names I did but now my daughter is literally calling him by one of the names and now he doesn’t have a choice 🤣 the other one we liked for a girl is Ada but we liked it spelt Aida (both my great nans name aswell). Una is super sweet! We downloaded an app called Kinder and it’s basically tinder for baby names and you match on names 😂 that’s how we shortened our list down haha

I really love the names Edith and Thea. X

@Lucy omg men are so awkward. I might just say when you carry the kid, you can name the kid 🤣🤣🤣. I really like that name too but pronouncing the Ai rather than A so more like Eider duck 🤣🤣. Husband said no again 🤣🤦🏻‍♀️ Weve got Kinder but I refuse to pay so it's onky American names that are coming up, and OMG, out there is an understatement 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Beatrice, Dorothy, April, Margot, Matilda, Scarlett, Madden, Nova, Eden, Billie, Delilah, River, Piper, Annabelle

@Lucy haha! I feel that. One came up as Fisher.. our surname is Lisher.. 😂 not the one haha! The other two names I forgot about we saved was Belle and Tabitha. It’s just so much pressure knowing it’s their name forever and then you start to become immune to them 🙈

I love Thalia / Esme / Sienna 🩷

We have an Alba and honestly I just love it sooo much!! It’s super old and rare these days!

There are so many good name pages on insta. I follow a bunch which post traditional/whimsical names. Seeing different names pop up each day helps give me inspiration and ideas I hadn’t considered. I’ve made a list on my phone that I compile of ones I like the sound of, but am so indecisive I’ll just leave them all there until baby comes. I couldn’t decide with my first and once he came we just knew which name to choose!

@Rachel what’s the names of the insta pages xx

@Rachel thanks hun xx

Iris, Cicely, Sienna, Delilah, Marsaili, Eilidh, Fiadh They’re all names on our girl list at the moment.

June, Juliet, Savannah, Gabriella, Annabel, Colette, Victoria, Clara, Josephine, Cecelia, Imogen, Georgia, Allison

We have this problem too. Really like Edie (Edith) but my son had 3 in his nursery and 4 different Edies in reception 🙀 so off the table. We are now down to Naomi or Eliza (we think!)

Some of the names we love are April, Avery which is less popular than Ava, Eleanor and Olive which is less popular than Olivia
