Standard time for a booking appointment is when you’re 8-10 weeks pregnant
Thank you guys it’s obviously different for different areas in the UK but I haven’t even heard anything about my referral anyway
I called my GP as wasnt sure what the protocol was in my area and if it had changed from last pregnancy as id heard it was online only, but they are still referring through the GP in my village which isnt what the County does, so the receptionist has just done my referral...might be worth calling if you haven't and seeing
I self-referred over the weekend and got a message today to say my appointment is for the 31st, I think I'll be around 9 weeks roughly. Previously I had to go through my GP who sent me to a midwife hub, but now it's all handled by the hospital it seems!
I think I might have to ring the doctors and see what they say but I am only early on (nearly 6 weeks) just seems too long to wait especially if it could be someone’s first but I think I’m being impatient 😅 xx
I’m in York, around 5 weeks pregnant and self-referred myself last week, I have an appointment for 3 weeks time so will be around 8 weeks pregnant. X
@Georgi I’m in York too and I’ve heard nothing after self referring x
I was pregnant in 2023 with my first, found out at 6 weeks. Got a phone call at 8 weeks then 12 week scan. This time I found out at 3 weeks and won’t be seen until 12 weeks again, it feels longer this time because I’ve found out earlier. A phone call between 8-10 weeks. Thats Scotland though x
I am sure you will hear soon! I only heard yesterday. When I had my first baby a couple of years ago I didn’t have my first midwife appt til I was almost 11 weeks! X
I self referred online and had a text that evening to say appointment was in 2 weeks
