Anyone heard about the deaths of babies at Queens hospital?

I know they had the same issue a few years back. What are your thoughts? Would you consider a different hospital? I am trying for baby no 2 and I'm concerned. Queens is so convenient for us but safety over convenience!

I had my baby at Queens August last year and they were amazing . I had multiple midwives as I was there for a few days and everyone was so attentive and really looked after myself , partner and mum . Labour was a tricky one ( not due to the hospital ) and the doctors there were fantastic , could not fault anything . That’s just my own personal experience , but wanted to share something positive incase you did want to go there xx

I had my son at Queens, January 2023, and couldn't fault them. Everyone was super kind and attentive. I ended up having a c section after some complications (not their fault), and it went smoothly. I had feeding trouble, and everyone was so helpful and understanding. I guess it depends on who is on shift on the days you're in x

I had my baby in Queens in April this year. It was an amazing experience, I couldn't have asked for more help and support! They had a back track record a few years back, but because it all went very public, they really had to put a lot of effort to turn it around. Honestly, the entire team, including midwifes, doctors and other support workers, was just unbelievable. I would definitely recommend to stick to them. I know someone who went to Basildon and Broomfield, and both experienced lack of support because the hospitals are so much smaller than Queens.

Had my baby at Queens a month ago and I had a wonderful midwife my labour was 27 hours, obviously they are overun and understaffed but they do thier best, its not easy. As longnas you do your research of various birth methods and the the types of medication you may be offered and know exactly what you do and dont want you will be fine. Be sure to have plan A, B & C. I wentnin for water birth but left having a c section but I knew exactly what I did and didn't want which made things so much easier to move forwards and not have them in control. Trust your instincts ❤️

I’ve seen this story it’s scary but I had my first 2 at queens ( my first was born in covid April 21) and I couldn’t fault the staff at all, specially as he was my first and I was on my own until I was in my labour room, I couldn’t fault them, when they came to check how far I was and saw I was crowning , she called the emergency button, and 10 people came in but they were great in that 5 mins and a consultant came in to congratulate us and say what happened when 10 people came in but it was nothing bad at all just they pushed the wrong button My second was delivered by a brand new qualified midwife who was brilliant and she was so reassuring specially for the first 25 mins when I was on my own as my partner was at home as he was sent home as they had Covid restrictions still the consultant who I saw at the fetal medicine team also came in to congratulate me when he saw on the board i I had her , I also can’t fault the sunrise ward for early scans either x

I had both babies at queens. 1 each year apart: they were phenomenal, even with my complications. Th and the midwife teams went above and beyond xx
