How many pads - hospital bags

For planned c section, is 20 pads enough? Have a few different types to see what I get on with. Is peri bottle useful? Assume don’t need witch hazel pad liners (repacking bag as originally planned for a vaginal birth). Thanks in advance :)

I took a whole pack of pads, in my opinion you can never have enough, but if you do run out the hospital will give you some. I took a peri bottle as I was planning a vaginal birth but never used it. The biggest bit of advice would be to take some massive undies that go above your scar and are loose. I should have packed other options and ended up cutting the underwear I took because they were too tight across my incision x

Go for the disposable pants instead!!

I’ve bought a whole combination include Amazon pants/ that look like giant pull-ups 🤣

They gave me deposible pads and knickers in hospital so I used those when I was in but when I came home I just bought loads of packs of maternity pads but I changed to sanitary towels after roughly a week and stopped bleeding after 2 but it's better to have more than not enough

I started using the Freda shorts but felt they were suffocating my wound, so went for large full briefs from M&S 100% cotton, very comfy and helped heal perfectly

I took a pack both times but didn’t go through them all. They also have some there at the hospital and the first day you’ll be in their mesh knickers, on a little puppy pad and they will change you to monitor post surgery bleeding. I didn’t actually get my knickers and pads on until I had my catheter removed, got up showering and walking.
