Overhang from c section

I’m into fitness, small build, never had a tummy really, but stressing over the pouch after my c section Can I ask if vaginal births would end with the pouch too? Massively rethinking my birth plan for baby 2!

The way skin heals around a scar will always vary so I think a c-section makes it more likely you'll have something like that. However, I had two vaginal births and definitely have a mum tum. I'm in no way into fitness though - I'm more into biscuits 🙈

I had a section and didn’t have a mum tum or pouch. Had my second one a week ago and praying I don’t again 🙏🏼 But I think it could be down to how the scar heals etc. so I’ll be making sure I start massaging it when I can

It’s all down to your scars position, your surgeons skill, your genetics and your body type. I’ve had two sections and no overhang or mum pouch. My sister has an overhang and she had a vaginal birth.

My pouch went away by itself around 4 months. Now, no one can believe that I gave a birth 6 months ago. I had a vaginal delivery.

I am also slim & have an overhang. It’s not nice to see your body change but I remind myself that I have a beautiful healthy girl because of it and some people in the world would die to have my pouch. Once the swelling goes down it does get better ❤️

I have had 3 stomach surgeries now, the first was a myomectomy, last 2 were sections. I have a overhang now that I am dying to get rid of but it wasn’t noticeable after the first 2 surgeries

I’ve got an over hang and a lower pouch. Ruining my confidence, I know how you feel

You could try a vbac and you might have less of a pouch because they don’t have to cut it open again
