Boy names suggestions!

Just found out I’m pregnant with #2. First baby is a girl, Lilah. I have a list of girl names I love but really struggle with boy names. We had Oliver at the top of our list last time but wanting to look at other suggestions. We like: - Strong, masculine names - Lean more classic for boy names but at the same time I find a lot of boy names overused and a bit boring. Eg. William, James, jack, Ben etc. - Nothing strange but perhaps a little less common - Something that works well with Lilah - Something that sounds good as a baby and an adult (no childish nickname sounding names) I want to think of the future where he may run a company or have a highly regarded job. - Cannot sound like a pets name (eg. Milo, Arlo, Felix etc)

The first name that came to mind was Elijah but it is very similar to your daughters band

Adam is quite a strong name. Sounds cute with Lilah too.

I like Rory/Rauri but my partner hates it! But feel that could go? ☺️

@Cerys this was what came to my mind!

@Cerys we have a nephew called Elijah! Lovely name though. His brother is Isiah (they go for very biblical names)

Winston, Alexander, Christopher, George, Thomas, Henry - thinking about historical male figures that were movers and shakers.

Idris, Adam, Alexander, Lucas, Owen

@Sultana I don’t dislike it, but it sort of goes on my ‘boring overused’ list. Very common name even I was in high school

You can think of fictional characters too. Although this name would be considered strange to you - Atticus - I love this character in To Kill a Mockignbird and what he represents. As an example.

Alexander 🥰

I love Isaac for a boy, we also really like Luca.

Isaac is a good one too!

@Jessica I really like Luca too but I feel it is a bit soft. It’s been in my list for a while though

@Jadie I totally get the strong names here but I just feel they are so overused. Perhaps I’m looking for something more uncommon, strong and still masculine if that’s a thing

I would look at fiction then. You can find “strong” names that aren’t as overused, but you may like the quality of the characters. Historical figures names would be overused because people love the qualities of those people.

@Jadie you are totally right! I’m not a reader and not much into movies either, would you have some suggestions where I could look for inspo without having to read books?

Here’s an example list of names I found online. Some less common, but characters/authors have good qualities that might appeal to you (especially from a strength/leadership aspect).

Ezra Leonardo/Leo Leonard Ernest Theodore/Theo Franklin/Frank Brock Montgomery Clark Grant Eugene/Gene Lincoln Caleb

Some personal favs from this list by character/authors: qualities: Sherlock, Rhett, Holden, Finn and Fitzgerald.

Also love Remus, but every millennial Harry Potter fan will instantly recognize it lol

We have a Finley Rowan 😄

How about: Caspian Nathan / Nathaniel Callum Edmund Elliot / Elliott Dominic Joshua Jason Ryan Egan Jeremy Jenson Zeke Zander / Xander Zain Ewan / Euan Darren Scott Vincent / Vince Robin Evan Cassian Wilfred Tristan

We have a Cameron. He gets called Cammy but obviously has the option of using the full name (or Cam) when he’s older.

Evander Jonah Ruan Elliott Deacon Callan Julian

Henry Oscar Ronald Bertrand Wilbur Amos Leonard Gareth Magnus Anders Douglas Victor Reuben Sebastian Abram Frederick Solomon Gideon

I personally thought, Lilah & Vincent Lilah & Malcolm Or Lilah & Harvey 💗🩵

@Jadie thank you, I’ll check it out x
