I’m a teacher and I’m exhausted!! There shouldn’t be mid year timetable changes, please speak to your union about this - are you losing any PPAs?? You can go off sick at any point and will get full pay up to 6 months (as long as your sickness record is fine since April). If you are off sick for any pregnancy related reason past 36 weeks then they force you to start maternity leave early so I suppose it depends what your due date is in August? My inbox always open for a school rant 🙏🏻🙏🏻 this is my third pregnancy so know most of the ins and outs of maternity leave etc. are you doing shared parental leave so you get paid fully for some holidays? X
I run a baby room in a private day nursery and I’m third in charge… mentally and physically exhausted so I feel your pain! But having to keep going until 38. Weeks 😭
I’ve just checked with my union rep and they’re not allowed to change your timetable mid year…. At all! Unless you consent obviously. Tell them to buggar off x
I'm also a teacher and all I can say is you aren't alone 💕 always here if you want to talk xxx
Teacher in HE and oh my god… I knew the work was coming and nothing was added but the amount of marking and work is insane!!! I just cannot wait until my maternity leave 😭 Sending strength
May be worth getting some advice? Call maternity action as they have advisors who can help. It took me a while to get through to them but so worth it once I did, they'll be able to tell you whether sick note will impact your maternity!
