Doctors told me to wait a year before anymore I fell pregnant with my second when my first was 7 months old and had him when my first was 16 months everything was okay with my second was gonna try have a vaginal birth but due to cord issues i couldn’t but they were willing to let me
It depends on your circumstances as to how long the surgeon recommends! During my emergency section, my surgeon said I could give birth again after 12-18 months. I got pregnant when my first turned 13 months and had an elective section at 22 months.
I was also only told to wait a year x
I've not heard of waiting 2 years before getting pregnant again, that's a very long time. Did you have any issues with your section?
My midwife at hospital said to wait for two years as your scar takes time to heal internally and could rip and also just in case you get pregnant and have another surgery then it doesn’t take a toll on your body. It’s to give your body rest and recover from surgery and birth of another human being
The doctors advised to wait 12-18 months after mine but I’m not planning anymore so haven’t really put any thought etc into it. I think it’s up to you and what risks you would be willing to take, do your research before making any decisions.
