Rolling over

When did your baby roll over? My baby is 4 months old and still doesn’t roll. There were couple of times when she rolled from her belly to back, but I think it was accidental coz she never repeated it again. Is here anybody whose baby is 4mo and didn’t roll yet?

2.5 months was from back massage. 3.75mo for many tummy to back rolls ( pretty sure all accidental as he's learning to push up on his hands ) no back to belly yet. 4mo today

Just had a four month peds appointment today. My LO’s pediatrician assured me that they usually don’t start rolling until about 6 to 7 months.

2 days shy of being 4 months and he has steadily been rolling over today. I counted it as officially rolling over today!

My baby hasn’t rolled over just to side she’s 4 months

4 mth old. Can roll from belly to back. Still learning back to belly. He can get to his side. Just not all the way over.

Baby girl is so close! Belly to back : She scoots her boot in the air but always forgets to tuck in her arm. Back to belly : she reaches for toys and milkies but isn’t quite shifting her hips yet! She’s 2 weeks shy of 5months so hopefully by then… is anyone else’s 4month old doing surprisingly well with sitting up?

Belly to back, my little princess doesn't even attempt back to belly 😂 we have fans and well, those are too enticing. We HAVE been babbling, cooing and trying different variations in our voice though! 3 months and 3 weeks

You can also help assist by putting a blanket folding up slightly under the baby to get in position to roll forward.

My 4mo has been rolling over for a while, dude is not content on his back anymore. It’s a constant fight during diaper changes and trying to put him down for a nap or bedtime. He only rolls one way reliably but has been starting to try the other way within the last week. He also doesn’t really use his arms like they’re supposed to, instead uses his legs and head, but he’s having a good time so why not ya know

4monthsnas of yesterday and this past week started to roll back to belly, belly to back had don a few accidental ones before

He started rolling from belly to back at 3.5 months, and has done once from back to belly, but it definitely felt early to me. My daughter was 4.5 months when she first rolled from belly to back.

No need to panic at all!! My baby first rolled around 4 months, but it was only a few times and not a skill she was comfortable with. At 5 months on the dot she started rolling like it was her job (back to belly). Still figuring out belly to back. I think a big chunk of babies probably could roll earlier than they do, but they have to have both the interest of rolling and ability to do so, and sometimes those timelines don’t match up. Even if you ask this question around 7 months, you’re still going to get people that say “not there yet.” I imagine your ped will expect rolling by 6 months, so if baby hasn’t hit that milestone then, you can chat with them about it!

Asked heal baby care app and sharing in case it helps: "It's completely normal for babies to develop at their own pace, and rolling over can happen anywhere between 4 to 6 months. Some babies may roll over earlier, while others take a bit longer. If your baby has rolled from belly to back a couple of times, even if it seemed accidental, that's a positive sign! To encourage rolling, you can try tummy time regularly, as it helps strengthen the muscles needed for rolling. How often does your baby have tummy time, and does she seem comfortable during it?"
