Very Quick Car Birth

Baby Girl was born 16th May at 3.04pm on the hard shoulder of our local dual carriageway. I had started to time what felt like sharp pains in my vagina around 10.30am. I had absolutely no tightens, didn’t feel anything in my stomach, all in my vagina. At that point they were only like 20 seconds long and about 10-15 minutes apart. They were mild to moderate, and there was a lot of bowel movements. I phoned the local midwives and they said it didn’t sound like labour as there was nothing going on in my stomach. Fast forward to 1.30, needed to pick my oldest up from primary school, my brother came with me, and in the space of 5 minutes I had two pains in my stomach, and they were intense. Called my husband while my brother was at the gate, and it was decided my brother would drive me to my parents house (he also lives there) My husband arrived at my parents house, and at this stage it was hurting what felt like all the time. I was desperate, felt full blown panic as nothing was going right. My mother was in work, no bag packed or anything. We phoned the hospital which was 45 mins to an hour away, explained and they said because of the distance I would need to come in.. We left my parents house at 2.51pm feeling and sounding completely primal, by 3.01pm I could feel her head and by 3.04pm she was born in the passenger seat of my husband’s car. Still don’t feel real, but she’s here 10 days early and with quite a story.
