Photo of wound/scar!!!
Sorry for the gross photo but I need advice please!
My section was 2 and a half weeks ago now and one particular bit has never healed properly in my opinion but today there’s blood at it and it’s sore & itchy.
My section wasn’t straight forward either, I had to be knocked out half way through as they couldn’t stitch my womb due to how thin it was, I haemorrhaged and lost 2.5L of blood during the op, had a wound drain for 48h and had a small bleed at 36h post op.
I was at the doctors on Wednesday because the wound is infected at the drain site (to the left of this photo) but this bleeding is new.
Should I be concerned about this? I was discharged from the midwife at day 12 so it’s just the hv we see now and I’m not sure if she can tell me if this is okay?
Do I just wait until Monday to try and see the GP again or is it a maternity assessment job?

Omg bless you Im sorry all of that happened to you,...I had a scar rupture at 2 weeks too and I went to maternity triage,...they kept me in and I had to have IV antibiotics for 4/5 days due to infection... Given your birth story, and even without, I would take yourself down to maternity and get it looked at! Bring some bits with you incase you do have to stay (blanket, phone charger, PJ's and pads etc....) xxx

Probably best to see maternity, they have duty of care for around a month and will be able to refer you to people quicker than docs x
