We aren’t doing parties till the kids are in school and are able to invite friends. This year we are taking him to a toddler play place and having cake at that house. They are so young they won’t remember so it’s mostly memories for you! Just make the day fun
@Heidi last year we did hawaii for her first birthday and i wanted to throw her a party this year and ive already got everything and booked it, its a couple of weeks to go and everyone who said they’re “coming” aren’t coming 😭 i spent extra to make sure theres enough snacks and etc for everyone just for it all to be a waste. Ive never felt so dumb before! Definitely learned my lesson
This year we won't be doing parties. We will be taking trips. For my youngest daughter we are going to Peppa Pig World and for my oldest daughter we are going to Orlando and for my birthday and my fiance's birthday we have yet to decide. Luckily it's in November 😅. I've learned to save money and just book tickets/passes to amusement parks and look for perks 😂
@Lauren awwww in that case they’re a holes, ugh that sucks I’m sorry I’ve heard so many parents and kids getting let down by parties. It sounds like you planned a great party though did she have fun by the end of the day? If she did that’s all that matters❤️
On the fence just like you
Last we did d a big thing for her first birthday but we aren't doing that again. Just something small with mine and my husband's parents, siblings and their kids. At this point it is more for the parents anyway and planning and hosting anything big is very overwhelming for me. Sucks people suck for changing their minds like that.
We did a party with hubby's ; sister, nephew and parents And one with ; our adult friends, my parents ( Our mom's don't exactly get along)
This is what we did for his first birthday. For the day itself we took him to a museum and took him out for lunch. A day before the second party... We all went to ... Literally our first rodeo 😂😁... A rodeo is something none of us had ever been to.
We did Disney for my daughters first birthday and going again for her second. This time to animal kingdom instead of magic kingdom since she’s really into animals lately. I’d say do something based off your child’s general interest. It doesn’t have to be a party
I’m sorry that people aren’t going to attend the party you had planned. That’s such a let down. I don’t have a lot of friends and hardly and with kids. We’ve decided to hold off on parties until my daughter has friends and understands what a party is. Until then we’ll just use do a small celebration. As long as your daughter has fun and you get to spend time with her, it’ll be a great celebration!
Make it memories!!! Don’t do huge parties every year, maybe a couple til they can choose but spend it on making the day super memorable and fun! Or even a trip if you got that lol
