use a cotton pad and put witch hazel on it to apply to the scar and surrounding area that’s what I do then some deodorant and powder the skin xx
baby muslin cloth I used on my c section scar and it kept it dry
I’ve been using thin sanitary pads to soak up the sweat and keep a gap between the stomach and scar
Every time you take shower …dry it very well with a hair dryer…I had this when I had my baby in august but now its fine … if it’s todo much …do it several times a day because this can cause bad smell and irritation on the scar and it’s not good …
The cotton pads with stay in the scar because the scar it’s wet …this tip my mom gave it to me …after having a surgery
I’ve had 2 prior c sections. The only thing I’ve ever used was panty liners or thin pads to help keep the moisture off. It might become itchy so I used Vaseline here and there.
you can get antibacterial body wash. i use it on any places that get sweaty in the summer heat and it works really well. the only thing is i would maybe ask your doctor or a nurse hotline if it’s okay to use antibacterial soap this early after your delivery. i don’t think there would be any problem but better safe than sorry. i didn’t start using antibacterial soap until about 2 years pp.
I struggle with the same thing. What I normally do is make sure the whole rash is clean and dry then apply aquaphor. Another thing I do is I try to dry it out with isopropyl alcohol. It stings at first but definitely helps in my opinion. Just soak anything cotton like a swab or ball or pad and wipe the area.
Thank you mamas. I’ve tried all of those. I might have to buy a blow dryer for just that area alone tbh.
Cornstarch or baby powder! I should really buy stock in gold Bond lol
no using anything is better because the more thing you use the more sweat is causing …I had two already c sections….powder not good cream not good because that would cause more moist …and all we want is ti maintain that area dry …
Deodorant with anti perspirant
