@Astrid I’ll have them test that the next appointment. I take iron supplements though on top of my prenatal.
@Emily That's good! For me personally, the iron pills didn't do anything. After two infusions though (and a bit of waiting for them to sink in) my energy levels came back up again.
I agree with @Astrid! I was severely anemic and needed infusions every week and a half or so for the last 10 weeks, and even then at delivery I was only half way to normal range. But superrrr exhausted. When baby comes you will be tired- but it’s a different kind of tired. Personally I think pregnancy tired is worse, and your feelings about this are valid. Not everyone has the pregnancy you see glamourized online, and the people who have less than glamorous pregnancies don’t often talk about them because of the “just you wait” jerks. It will get better mama 🫶🏻
It will get better!! Honestly everybody says, oh it's worse with the baby, but I was much better rested with a 1 week old than I was at the worst points in pregnancy. You've got this!
Are you having a boy? That’s exactly how i was feeling
Girl newborn tired was a DREAM compared to pregnancy tired for me. I would literally sleep 13-15 hours a day my entire first trimester and for the second I could barely sleep but my eyes still wanted to stay closed almost nonstop. I was a sweaty tired constipated mess LMAO. the ‘just you wait’s are almost always WRONG imo. idk why people think it’s a cute thing to say anyway??? Weirdos
I’m also 27 weeks :) have you tried an iron supplement?
Have you done an iron test? When I was the most exhausted it turned out I was very anemic and had to have a couple iron infusions to help out.
