Heavy Bleeding

Omg how long will this last?!? I’ve been losing so much blood since 2am, I’ve been timing how long it’s taking to fill a pad, and from what I was told at the hospital it’s ‘okay’ but was on standby to go to A&E all night. I’m running out of clothes, pads are leaking at the sides and I’ve had loads of clots. It settled down for a few hours earlier so I thought the worst was over but no….Back to struggling to contain the mess. It seems so out of control 😩

If you’re changing your pad so frequently you need to go to A&E as that’s not normal. I was told if I fill my pad up within an hour I needed to be seen x

@Julia oh really 😩 I was told if I fill a pad faster than 10 mins x

I had my mc in hospital the whole time and I bled constant and heavy with clots for about 12 hours and then after that it’s was just like a ‘normal’ heavy period for a few days, I had to stay in as they said I was loosing too much blood so could be worth ringing and maybe getting checked over xx

If you fill a pad in less than an hour for more than 2 hours go to a&e

I would definitely go in

They can give you an injection to slow the bleeding and put you on a drip which you’ll need if you’re losing that much blood

I was told within an hour as well. Go to a&e

About 5 mins after I wrote the post I had a huge blood loss and went straight to A&E where I have been admitted 🤦🏻‍♀️ thanks everyone, they really should explain things more as what I was told is clearly very different to standard advice!

Am glad you’ve been seen and admitted. How are you doing now?x

@Julia don’t want to speak too soon but it seems much much less and under control, thanks for asking x

Aww I’m pleased to hear. Hopefully it’ll stop soon x
