False labour pains

Has anyone experienced false labour pains? I’m exactly 36 weeks, and think what I experienced was false labour pains and not just Braxton hicks. It was way more intense than the usual Braxton hicks, I had waves of contractions on and off, which were intense and cramp-like. I was nauseous to the point of almost throwing up, and I had diarrhea?

Yes I had this at about 36 weeks. Was the middle of the night and I even downloaded a contraction counter because it was going on regularly for about an hour and a half. Was very uncomfortable and yeah thought I was going to be sick. But the pain wasn’t getting worse then eventually eased off.

Hey, yes I've been having them since about 34/35 weeks too. I'm now nearly 39 weeks and still have them on and off 🥲

Yes I had that this week too (38+4 now). It's called prodromal labour. My midwife said all these contractions weren't for nothing, the body will remember and actual labour will hopefully be quicker x

Yes, on and off since 36 weeks, especially in the night. They make my heart race its weird. I think its similar to a period when it contracts it puts pressure on other areas, hence diarrhoea, I also had this.

I been having this daily since 35 weeks and now 38 weeks and have even been up on delivery twice got to 2cm and then labour stopped. Its hard to know now wetha its real thing or not. Am just over it now. Its called prodromal labour

I woke up at 5.30 this morning with period like cramps and back pain - struggled to get back to sleep. Then still felt cramping when I woke up at 7.30. Had a shower etc and now all stopped. I’ve had more intermittent cramping before today but this morning I was worried it was the start. So glad it has stopped as the grandparents aren’t arriving until tomorrow (to look after my daughter).
