Is this my mucus plug? TMI Photo included!
I’ve just noticed this thick yellow discharge when I wiped. I wouldn’t be questioning it but I’m 36 weeks today and I’ve also had 4 boughts of D++ in a 12 hour period (not sure if clear out or just sensitive stomach) lower back pain and some mild cramping on and off. I don’t want to bother triage if it’s nothing to worry about as all of these are just normal pregnancy things. TIA

I wouldn’t say so, I get the same if not more than this. The mucus plug usually has a lot of blood in it and it isn’t really a need to call triage anyway as your mucus plug can grow back. Losing your mucus plug alone is not a sign of labour x
@Jade thank you. I have spoken to triage and they aren’t concerned.
@Courtney thank you - this type of discharge is new for me. At least I know now for the future it’s nothing to be concerned about.
@Abbie yeah it’s easy to worry, ring if you have what they call a “bloody show” along with regular contractions as that is of course a sign of labour :)
