Having kids after chemo

Wasn't sure where to find an answer. Though someone may have experience though I'm aware it's a female only platform. A friend had chemo 3 years ago for his brain tumour. His wife doesn't have any fertility issues but they were told ivf is the best option using the sperm frozen pre-chemo. I know women who went on to have kids without ivf after having chemo. Is there a massive risk to having kids naturally post chemo if the dad was the one who's gone through it? Would appreciate any info.

I had 1 post chemo and currently pregnant. I had stage 3 bone cancer.

I believe there's testing of the sperm to see if it is healthy or not. I could be wrong. I have a daughter now and had Hodgkins lymphoma 12 years ago. I also have a friend who had two kids post chemo for leukemia and they are healthy boys. here's a great article from Memorial Sloan Kettering https://www.mskcc.org/cancer-care/patient-education/building-family-information-men

Thank you so much for responding ladies, means a lot!
