Changes to work outs

I’m newly pregnant and concerned about the training I am doing. I do quite intensive PT sessions and bootcamps, and my young male trainer told me I don’t need to make adjustments yet. I did my first PT session since finding out I’m pregnant yesterday, and it didn’t feel right. Is this normal to keep working out so strenuously?

How far along are you?

I didn’t change up my routine at all when pregnant! My OB encouraged me to workout

I’d say if it’s still early days, especially within the first 12/13 weeks to take it easy and limit what you’re doing. It’s the most important time to keep the baby safe! I stopped gym for 2 months and only went back after I had the 12 week scan and they confirmed everything with the baby was okay cx

I just done small at home workouts. If I went to the gym I know what I’m like and if just over do it. I just put the baby first at that point because I didn’t know what could happen and how my body would react to both pregnancy and extreme workouts xx

I’d take it easy as it’s the first trimester but for the most part you can still train how you did before pregnancy with reasonable adjustments however if you don’t feel right within yourself then definitely take it easy. I was a big gym goer before pregnancy and stopped once I found out as I didn’t feel right. Once she was born I went right back to it.

I never changed my.gym.plan. in fact am.stronger now than I was before pregnancy. Don't get me wrong am very careful and listen to my body but I'm definitely stronger
