Updated Sono before next FET
I had a failed FET last week and was hoping to try again with this next cycle, however my clinic has recommended that I use this cycle to update my sono. They like to redo it every 6 months in advance of a transfer cycle. My last sono was early June, so exactly 6 months ago, and didn’t show anything concerning, but since then I’ve had a retrieval and failed FET.
I’m trying to be reasonable and patient and I want to give this next embryo a great shot, but the thought of waiting another month just for a routine test that is barely out of date and which probably won’t show anything is agony. I am also extremely fortunate to have 10 more euploid embryos on ice. My instinct is to do another FET and then go for a sono if that fails.
Curious whether anyone has redone their sono and found something new that changed their treatment plan, or if there are other things I can do in that month to make it I feel more worthwhile (eg other tests, diet changes, etc).
I am so sorry that the FET didn’t work for you. I had an HSG 12 months prior to my transfer. And around the time for IVF, the doctor recommended sono. I didn’t show anything - both HSG and sono came out normal. I am 6dp5dt and I am seeing faint lines but I can’t say anything for sure until the beta which is in 1 week. In terms of diet, I absolutely cut down on ALL and ANY form of caffeine. Drank pomegranate juice. Drank milk twice a day. Ate at least 2 pieces of fruit per day. Had at least one egg per day. My goal was to regulate blood sugar so I tried to have something healthy every 4-6 hours. And for the initial 4 days, I mostly stayed in bed - I would go for a stroll for 30min though but overall, took it easy. Good luck and baby dust to you✨
