Nursery for soon to be 3 year old
Hey guys so my son will be 3 in July - and as me and his dad both work, up until now we’ve been using family as childcare. Does anyone have any recommendations about the nursery planning process and how to apply etc? Would the 30 free hours apply to private school nurseries?

Some private schools accept the 30hrs free thing (if you check fees page they may say upfront if they do accept it). Usually you can start receiving it the term after little one turns 3. So in your case about September. I have heard of cases where 2 year olds actually qualify for it earlier (you can check and see if that will be applicable). It’s nice to go and visit and have a look around for the ones in your area that make ur shortlist !!! I started checking some 10 mins from my house and when non fit the bill. I went 20mins out. And luckily found one. Hope it’s been a lil helpful xx

I’m sure the 30 hours isn’t private as my son has done that since the month after his 2nd birthday and it was just a normal school nursery
