Tips on toddler tantrums

My little girl is 32 months and her tantrums are out of this world, I’ve tried everything to calm her down including talking to her about what’s upsetting her to putting her on the step to calm down. She’s hitting out and started to throw things now and it’s started to be in public. I understand they’re testing boundaries but I’m at a loss as to what technique to try next? Any help would be great
