Premature baby milestones

Hi everyone my baby is 15 months and was born 7 weeks early. He has skipped the crawling phase completely has no interest and hates tummy time or being put on his front. He has started to walk a bit with us holding him but will not weight bear at all. I have tried encouraging him using mirrors, favourite toys and tummy time. I was wandering if any other mums had any tips or had been in a similar situation? I don’t want to put too much pressure on him or myself as I know he will do it when he is ready and all babies reach there milestones when they are ready but it’s hard not t to worry sometimes!

My son is 19 months and was born 8 weeks early he only started walking with a walker 2 weeks ago but can't do it alone yet, don't forget your little one is technically more like 13 months if you go of corrected age....he will do it when he's ready but I totally understand how hard it is not to compare to other babies and worry!!!

Thanks so much for replying! He likes to hold onto his walker and push it back and forth but not quite ready to take those steps with it yet haha! I do try to remember that with his corrected age etc.

Our 34 weeker started walking at 16.5 months actual. He took his time! Crawling is also a milestone towards walking so skipping it may mean it takes a bit longer but it sounds like he’s doing the right things!

Aww fab I think that’s why I keeps worrying because he has skipped the crawling x
