Walking on tiptoes

Over the last few days I've noticed my LB starting to walk on his tiptoes. It makes him so wobbly and I'm scared he's going to fall over. I'm unsure if its just a phase or if something else is going on. Anyone else had this?

My boy has been walking on his tiptoes as soon as he started walking about 5 months ago and now he only does it every now and then

@Shannon thank you. He's been walking for around 4 months and only just started this now, I wasn't sure if he'd hurt himself or if he's just found out he can do it

Mine went through a phase of it, think he just realised he could! Only lasted a couple of weeks and he rarely does it anymore

I would say it’s just a phase but if you are concerned just give your health Vistor a call, I was told by my doctor and health Vistor that it would only be of concern if he was walking like that all the time at the age of two and now he hardly does it unless his feet are cold or if he’s just being silly

It's how they learn balance, is very normal unless they do it all the time past the age of 2 or 3

This is normal. When they learn to stand and walk with feet flat they learn being on tip toes as a new thing but it's good for their balance and actually strengthens their legs too you will seem to notice it more but they will walk with their feet flat. It's just a new little trick for now x
